Cole Haan Editorial

Much of my work for Cole Haan involved editorial features for the company’s Above & Beyond content hub. I brainstormed stories tied to campaigns, conducted interviews, researched and wrote them, and wrote the accompanying content for Cole Haan’s social accounts.

These stories were fun to write, especially when I had the opportunity to indulge in my natural writing voice—funny but substantive.

When Cole Haan released their first lines of golf, tennis, and running shoes, I created a new triathlon to try out the shoes and wrote about it. I’d never played golf or tennis before, so comical shenanigans ensued.

In 2021, Cole Haan began a new editorial campaign called the Innovator Series, which featured people from the past and present who were doing extraordinary things. I helped source the subjects, interviewed them, and wrote monthly stories for the company’s Above & Beyond blog.

Subjects included young poet Alora Young, equitable pay advocate Claire Wasserman, neighborhood preservationist Mei Lum, LGBTQIA+ activist Sameer Jha, and others.

Content on Cole Haan’s Above & Beyond blog tied directly to current campaigns. While there, I pitched and wrote stories for their new golf, hiking, trail-running, and tennis shoes.
