HBO: Westworld chatbot

For the the second season of the hit HBO series Westworld, the Quartz Bot Studio developed a chatbot named TES, which existed within the world of the show but had its own storyline. The bot was ostensibly created by the Delos corporation for VIP clients of the park, but as anyone who’s seen the show knows, that wasn’t its true purpose. Over the course of the second season, TES would appear weekly to ask users personality questions, which were often surprisingly pointed, then used the data to group users into various teams. As the story unfolded bot users would have to work together to figure out what TES (or Delos) was up to. The bot was a huge hit and unsurprisingly drew a ton of attention from Reddit, where users worked together to figure out clues.
